Prospective students are invited to take part in a FREE workshop suitable to their age group.

What will I be expected to do at my free trial?
You will join in our Thursday workshops (Junior 4.30-6.00pm or Inter/Senior 6.00-8.00pm, depending on your age) with current students. Although the workshops are designed to be fun, they will also give you an insight to the sort of work we do (improvisation, acting techniques, performance enhancement, confidence building, to name but a few).

Dave R

Congratulations to senior student Dave Richardson who has successfully auditioned for 'Mountview Theatre School for The Arts'. Dave will be joining Mountview September 2014 to join the prestigious theatre school where he will begin the three year actors course.

My fat diary

AGF will be running a workshop with Casting Agent Jane Ripley (Skins, My Mad Fat Diary, The Inbetweeners amongst others).

All Inter and Senior Students are welcome to participate in the Workshop.

Scottsboro

Inter and Senior students will be watching the critically acclaimed 'The Scottsboro Boys' at the Garrick Theatre, London on Saturday October 18th. A musical which tells the extraordinary true story of nine young men, that changed history forever.
Samuel French

We shall be taking some Inter and Senior Students to Samuel French Bookstore to enable them to purchase new plays. We encourage all of our students to read as much as possible in order to equip them with the right tools when auditioning for Drama School.

Drama Day 14

Due to popular demand we shall be running another Drama Awards Day on Sunday December 7th

We usually like to do something different each Christmas but last year was such a huge success we shall be repeating the Drama Day. It really was lovely to have a 'family' day where we all got together and also for you all to see the work the students have been working on.

Change ahead

Its around this time of year, that a lot of students are preparing for varying 'life-changes' ranging from just changing teachers, moving to secondary school, to moving away from home to start university or drama school, but, what ever it is, it can often be a very stressful time.

For Performing Arts

Last week was another of our FREE trial days, and also auditions for a professional production we have been asked to provide children for, so we saw a lot of potential 'performers'!

Some who came, were 'brimming' with confidence, being more experienced ( these were mainly from other performing arts schools) others sat quietly and although very keen, were slightly more reluctant to show 'what they could do' ( mainly the ones from various Primary schools in the area) which, for this occasion was fine.

Musical Evening.

After a lot of preparation, hard work and many long rehearsals, our Musical Evening, last Friday May 15th, was a great success, and the students, as always, did their job brilliantly!
